Freebies are against development: Seeman

Tamil Nadu: Seeman, chief coordinator of the Naam Tamil Party, said that free programs are against development.
He told reporters in Chennai on Saturday:
What’s new in the AIADMK’s election manifesto? Women are already being given ₹1,000. Now, another ₹1,000 has been promised. This will increase the debt of ₹10 lakh crore to ₹15 lakh crore. They have announced free bus travel for men. A loss of ₹1 lakh crore is already being incurred. Freebies will not lead to Tamil Nadu’s development. Therefore, a change in the governance system is needed. If education and healthcare are provided at a good standard, people will save money.
In the assembly elections, the Naam Tamil Party is contesting alone. When Vijayakanth stood alone, he received 10.5 percent of the vote. The vote percentage decreased because he formed an alliance. By forming alliances, we lose trust and uniqueness. I think we shouldn’t lose that.
He said that true democracy is to remove all the scenes he finds problematic from the film ‘Jananayakan’ and allow it to be released.
