Indian bowlers were furious in the first match of the Under-19 World Cup. They continued to chase wickets, terrorizing the young USA batsmen. Pacer Henil Patel (5-16) took five wickets, disrupting the opponent’s top order. While the rest also lent a hand.. the opponent team was limited to 110 runs in 35.2 overs. If the small target is achieved in fewer overs, Team India is sure to register a huge victory.
India looks set to register a resounding victory in the inaugural Under-19 World Cup in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Ayush Mhatre won the toss and put USA in to bat, but the bowlers did justice to his decision. Henil Patel (5-16) in particular bowled out the US batters in a thrilling spell.
The opposition did not recover as Henil’s explosive knock saw them fall five wickets for 39. Destructive batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi (1-2) also excelled with the ball. With the last batter dismissed, USA were all out for 107 runs in 35.2 overs. Nitish Sudini was the top scorer for the American team with 36 runs.
