Farmers are becoming stronger and prosperous

Raipur. Expressing satisfaction with the paddy procurement system, farmer Manorama said that the current system is commendable and farmers are happy with it. She said that farmers’ income is increasing due to the highest price for paddy. The transparent and farmer-friendly system at paddy procurement centers is providing relief to farmers in selling paddy. Due to the well-organized system, the process of selling paddy has become simple, easy, and quick. Manorama Pathak, a resident of Ambikapur, praised the paddy procurement system and said that she cultivates approximately five acres and 20 decimals of land in Sohga village.
Manorama explained that this year, excessive rains affected some of her crops, leaving her with only about 22 quintals of paddy available for sale. She explained that she easily obtained a token through the paddy procurement center, and the token process was completely smooth.
Farmers relieved by the transparent system at paddy procurement centers
She faced no problems in selling her paddy. Mrs. Pathak said that upon reaching the Karji paddy procurement center, arrangements for gate pass, moisture testing of paddy and gunny bags were made available immediately, due to which the process of paddy sale was very smooth. For the convenience of the farmers, proper arrangements for drinking water and sitting in the shade have been made at the committee center. Besides, the employees of the committee are providing support to the farmers at every level. Manorama said that the state government led by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai is getting the highest price of Rs. 3100 per quintal for paddy and up to 21 quintals of paddy is being purchased per acre, due to which the farmers are getting huge benefits.
