ACB Raids Khammam District Transport Department Office for Second Day

Hyderabad: ACB raids were conducted in Khammam district for the second day. The searches lasted for about 20 hours and 20 private agents were arrested. Several papers, RCs, licenses, and Rs. 78 thousand in cash were seized from them. Searches were also conducted in the houses of transport department officials.
Meanwhile, it is known that ACB officials have been conducting inspections since yesterday afternoon in the wake of allegations of corruption in the district transport department office. The operation was carried out under the leadership of the Khammam ACB DSP on allegations of illegal collections being made in the transport department, including collection of fees for works like vehicle registration and issuance of licenses.
