Kolkata Messi Mess: 2 More Arrests Made for Vandalism at Salt Lake Stadium

Police have arrested two more people in connection with the tension that erupted during Argentine football legend Lionel Messi’s visit to Kolkata as part of the ‘GOAT India Tour’. Two people, Subhrapratim Dey and Gaurab Basu, have been arrested for destroying chairs in the stadium and creating chaos.

With this, the number of people arrested in this case has reached three. The police have already arrested the event organizer Shatadru Dutta in this case and produced him in court. The court has ordered him to be in judicial custody for 14 days. The police will also produce the two people arrested today in this case in court and seek their custody.

Meanwhile, the investigating officers have said that they will submit a full report on the tensions that took place during the Messi event to the government in the next 15 days. They have stated that strict action will be taken against those responsible. Meanwhile, Messi, who is currently on a tour of India, is participating in several events in Delhi on Monday.
