PM Modi inaugurated the sacred conch of Lord Krishna in Kurukshetra

Kurukshetra: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited this historic city of Haryana on Tuesday after witnessing the Dharma Dhwajhodhan ceremony at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya and inaugurated the ‘Panchjanya’, a monument built in honor of Lord Krishna’s sacred conch.

Accompanied by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, who wore a ‘Kesari’ turban, Prime Minister Modi visited the Mahabharata Experience Center, which will soon be opened to tourists from India and abroad. He will also participate in several important cultural and spiritual events. The purpose of his visit is to honor the legacy of the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur, promote the state’s rich heritage, and participate in the International Gita Mahotsav – 2025.

Before arriving in Kurukshetra, the Prime Minister paid tribute to Guru Tegh Bahadur on his 350th martyrdom day and said that the Guru’s martyrdom was for the protection of faith and humanity, which will always illuminate our society.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said: “On the 350th Martyrdom Day of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, we pay homage to his unparalleled courage and sacrifice. His martyrdom for the protection of faith and humanity will always enlighten our society.”

To spread the message of the Guru’s penance, sacrifice, and glorious legacy, the state government and the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee are celebrating the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur here, where the Prime Minister will participate in the celebrations.

In addition, the Prime Minister will participate in the International Gita Mahotsav and attend the Maha Aarti. Elaborating on various initiatives undertaken by the government, Chief Minister Saini said that it is the state’s firm intention to spread awareness about the Gurus’ sacrifices and their unparalleled contributions to humanity so that future generations can draw guidance from these sacred inspirations.

The Chief Minister also said that the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur, made the ultimate sacrifice for the protection of humanity, religion, and the country, a legacy that must be shared with every human being so that future generations can draw inspiration from this profound history.

In view of PM Modi’s visit, Kurukshetra district has been placed on high alert. Multi-layered and elaborate security arrangements have been put in place to ensure that there are no lapses in VVIP security.
