Nashik Crime: Case of demanding money from women and false rape allegation

Nashik: A case has been registered against four women at the Upnagar police station. They are accused of extorting money from a married woman by threatening to implicate her husband in a false rape and POCSO case. The incident occurred in the Nashik Road area. The accused demanded five lakh rupees from the victim.

According to the complaint filed by Pramila Kailash Maind of Jail Road, she received a phone call on Thursday evening. She was threatened with implicating her husband under POCSO and was asked to immediately come to Charandas Market on Jail Road. Pramila arrived at the agreed location with her son Tejas and her mother’s friend. An unidentified woman identified herself as Archana Pardeshi. She said she would file a false rape case against her husband on the advice of some political leaders and demanded five lakh rupees from her if she wanted to stop the case. The Suburban police have registered a case of extortion and threats against the four—Archana Pardeshi, Snehal Bhalerao, Kavita Pawar, and Ranjana Kamble—and further investigation is underway.
