Special program organized to honor the ‘soldiers of cleanliness’
New Delhi: On the occasion of the 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popular radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’, Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) organized a special program at Dulhedi village in Bhiwani, Haryana today. This program is organized to honor the ‘Swachhta Ke Sipahi’ in the 98th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ and to spread awareness among the general public about the flagship scheme of the Government of India, ‘Pradhan Mantri Employment Generation Program’ (PMEGP) .
Manoj Kumar, Chairman, Khadi and Village Industries Commission while addressing the PMEGP awareness program expressed the view that Prime Minister’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program has contributed significantly in making Khadi self-reliant. He also said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision is to make the youth ‘not just job seekers but job creators’ and become an inspiration for other youth. More than 2,000 people from nearby villages participated in this awareness camp.
In the 98th episode of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the sanitation workers of Dulhedi village in Haryana. The youth of Dulheri village had formed an organization called Yuva Swachhta Evam Jan Sewa Samiti which cleaned lakhs of tons of garbage from different areas of the city.
Manoj Kumar congratulated all the ‘Swachhta Sipahis’ of Dulheri village and appealed them to contribute in employment generation by connecting maximum youth of their area with PMEGP.
Staff and officers of Khadi and Village Industries Commission as well as representatives of Haryana Government and Banks participated in the event, which went a long way in spreading awareness about PMEGP and motivating the youth to become self-reliant and contribute to the development of their communities. being successful.
