Tejas accident: Wing Commander’s body given state honours at Sulur Air Force Base

Tamil Nadu: The body of Wing Commander Namansh Shayal, who died in the Tejas aircraft crash at the Dubai Air Show, has been brought back to India.

His body was buried with full state honours at the Air Force Base in Sulur, Coimbatore district. The Coimbatore Collector, Superintendent of Police, and Air Force officials paid tribute to Namansh Shayal.

After this, Namansh Shayal’s body will be taken to his home state, Himachal Pradesh. His wife, Afsan, is also a Wing Commander at the Sulur Air Force Base.

Yesterday (November 22), a Tejas aircraft performing stunts at the Dubai Air Show crashed and exploded. Wing Commander Namansh Shayal, who was piloting the aircraft, died.
