Tied to a pole, the minor thief was brutally beaten, the police saved him from the crowd

Patna (IANS) | A minor thief was caught and tied to an electric pole in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur on Sunday. After this the people of the village mercilessly thrashed the minor thief. On getting information about the matter, the police reached the spot and rescued the minor from the crowd. The incident is being told of Madhopur Susta village of Sadar police station area.
According to media reports, a minor boy entered the shop by breaking the roof to commit theft. People surrounded the shop and caught the minor.
After which people tied the alleged thief to an electric pole and beat him mercilessly. The thief kept pleading for mercy but no one listened to him. Some of them also made a video of the incident and uploaded it on social media.
When the local police came to know about the incident, they immediately went to Madhopur Susta village and rescued the minor. Sadar SHO Satyendra Mishra said, we have saved the minor from the mob. The villagers had accused the minor of stealing goods from a shop. We are probing it.
