Metro rail projects have not been rejected: Tamilisai Soundararajan

Tamil Nadu: Senior BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan has stated that the Coimbatore and Madurai Metro Rail projects have not been rejected.

Prime Minister Modi inaugurated an organic farming conference in Coimbatore on Wednesday.

Earlier, Tamilisai Soundararajan, who arrived at Coimbatore airport to welcome the Prime Minister, told reporters: Prime Minister Modi is announcing numerous schemes to help farmers, but Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is writing letters without even harvesting paddy.

The Chief Minister should have personally welcomed the Prime Minister to Tamil Nadu. This is Tamil culture.

The Coimbatore and Madurai Metro Rail projects have not been rejected. More information has only been sought. Tamil Nadu has received the highest number of Vande Bharat trains in the country. So why won’t the central government approve the Metro Rail projects? They will grant permission based on the existing facilities for the projects.

The state government has created public distrust on the Metro Rail issue. He said that Chief Minister Stalin should take responsibility for this.
