Vijay’s first wish is to join Congress: KV Thangkabalu

Tamil Nadu: Former Congress President K.V. Thangapalu said that Thaveka leader Vijay was desperate to join the Congress party in his early days.
Former Congress State President K.V. Thangapalu, who is touring Salem district, attended and spoke at the Congress executive meeting held in Vellandivalasu area near Edappadi on Wednesday.
He later told reporters: In his early days, Thaveka leader Vijay was desperate to join the Congress party. Since that was not possible, he started his own party and has always had a positive opinion of Congress leaders.
The party leadership will soon decide on forming an alliance with the Congress party in Tamil Nadu. The current DMK-Congress alliance is very strong. This alliance, which has won many elections in Tamil Nadu in the past, will continue to win in the future. He said that no one should underestimate the Congress party, which has supported the successful journey of many leaders in Tamil Nadu, starting with MGR.
Following this, Dhamaka City Mayor Vaithi, District Incharge Vijayababu, and over 200 others left various parties and joined the Congress in Thangapalu’s presence.
Western District Congress President Jayakumar, former District President Gopal, and City Council Vice President Radha Nagaraj also attended the event.
