Block level event concluded in MP Sports Festival Bhatapara

Balodabazar-Bhatapara. As part of the Sansad Khel Mahotsav 2025, the closing ceremony of the block-level sports competition was held on Saturday at Gurukul School, Tarenga, in Bhatapara. Raipur MP Brijmohan Agrawal attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. On this occasion, the winners in various sports competitions were honored with medals. Coaches, PTIs, and literary figures who have excelled in the field of sports were also honored with shawls and coconuts. Trees were also planted in the school premises under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign.
Addressing the program, MP Agrawal said that the Sansad Khel Mahotsav is being organized across the country to showcase rural talent. In Chhattisgarh, this event is also being held in all parliamentary constituencies.
He said that approximately 80,000 athletes have registered in the Raipur Lok Sabha constituency, including approximately 33,000 from the Balodabazar-Bhatapara district. Sports are as important as education. Playing not only keeps the body healthy but also keeps the mind happy. Sports involve winning and losing, and victory or defeat is only achieved through playing. He congratulated all the players who participated.
Former MLA Shivratan Sharma said that through the MP Sports Festival, rural talent will emerge and the level of sports will also improve. People will develop an interest in sports, leading to more participation. Players will also participate in national and Olympic competitions in the future, bringing medals and bringing glory to the country.
