Ganja worth Rs 1.23 crore was destroyed and recovered by Kabirdham police during the operation.

Kabirdham. Under the direction of Superintendent of Police (SP) Dharmendra Singh, Chairman of the Drug Disposal Committee, safe, scientific, and legal disposal of narcotics seized in various cases during the year 2024-25 was carried out today. This action is being seen as a strong blow to the illegal drug trade in the district. District Drug Disposal Committee members ASP Pushpendra Baghel and District Excise Officer Ajay Singh Dhurve were also present during the destruction operation.
Following physical verification by the court, a total of 658.478 kg of marijuana and 360 Alprazolam tablets, estimated to be worth ₹1,23,76,328, seized in various cases by various police stations in the district, were completely incinerated in a high-temperature furnace at the Bhoramdev Cooperative Sugar Factory, Ramhepur, on November 14, 2025. The entire process was completed in a transparent manner under strict security and committee supervision.
During this action, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Ashish Shukla, Inspector Umashankar Rathore, GM of Sugar Factory Ankit Markam, Outpost in-charge Pauri Sub Inspector Laxminarayan Saav, DCB in-charge Assistant Sub Inspector Safiq Qureshi, Malkhana in-charge Assistant Sub Inspector Jeevan Rai, Head Constable Lokesh Sharma, Head Constable Shobharam Chandravanshi along with officers and employees of Pipariya, Pandaria, Pandatarai, Kunda, Chilfi, Kukudur, Kawardha, Bodla and Excise Circle Pandaria were present.
