Students were cooking together in the hostel, a major accident occurred.

Bastar. A student at a tribal boys’ hostel in Bakawand district suffered burns to his face from boiling oil. It is reported that the student was cooking at the hostel when the oil spilled on him. Following the incident, the department has removed the superintendent from his post and sought an explanation from the cook.

The incident occurred at a boys’ hostel located in the village panchayat of Barda in the Bakawand block. Tuman Bhadre, a student studying there, was cooking with his classmates a day earlier when boiling oil spilled on him, leaving him seriously injured. Both the superintendent and the cook were absent at the time of the incident.

The children then informed the superintendent. The child was brought to the medical college where he is undergoing treatment. Doctors report that the child’s face has been burned and his skin is charred. His condition remains critical. He is undergoing treatment.

Assistant Commissioner of the Tribal Development Department, G.S. Sori, stated that hostel superintendent Sonadhar Goyal has been removed with immediate effect. Goyal was removed and reinstated to his original position as a teacher. A notice was also issued to the cook, asking him to explain his reasons.
