Consumer awareness camp organized, information given about e-hearing facility

Mahasamund. Following the instructions of the state government, the District Consumer Commission, Mahasamund, organized a one-day consumer awareness camp in Baronda Bazaar village to educate consumers about the e-hearing facility. The camp was held in the Panchayat Hall, and a large number of rural men and women attended. At the event, District Consumer Commission Chairman Gopal Ranjan Panigrahi provided detailed information about the e-Jagriti portal, e-filing, and e-hearing processes. He explained that consumers can now access justice by filing their complaints online from the comfort of their homes. He also spoke in detail about the rights and duties of consumers.

In his address, Lekhraj Sahu, Sarpanch of Baronda Bazaar Gram Panchayat, stated that it is essential for every consumer to be aware of their rights. Commission Member T. Durga Jyoti and Member Girish Srivastava shared detailed information regarding consumer rights. The Commission’s DMA Yuvraj Sahu highlighted the technical aspects and explained how the e-filing system allows consumers to file complaints and connect with the court from the comfort of their homes. Rural women present at the camp showed interest in information related to consumer rights and asked questions.
