Addressing the students, IRCA Project Director Chaman Singh emphasized the importance of early awareness and timely prevention to combat drug addiction. He said, “Effective de-addiction efforts include awareness programs, counseling, and ongoing support to help individuals overcome drug addiction.” Singh emphasized the need for school-based interventions focused on education, motivation, and rehabilitation to develop resilience in students and reduce the risk of substance abuse. Highlighting the important connection between mental health and lifestyle choices, he said, “You are only as happy as you set your mind to be.” Amrik Singh thanked the Red Cross team for their efforts and said that the session had a positive impact on both students and staff. Peer Educator Parvesh Kumar (IRCA) was present at the camp, along with school staff members Amanjot Kaur, Talwinder Singh, Sandeep Singh, Varinder Singh, Ashok Kumar, and Kulwinder Kaur.
