Himachal: 178th Foundation Day celebrations underway at Sanawar School

Himachal Pradesh: The second day of the Lawrence School, Sanawar’s 178th Foundation Day celebrations featured sports and cultural events. The day began with friendly futsal and basketball matches between Old Sanawarians (OS) and current Sanawarians. “Fête,” an engaging and entertaining event organized by the Old Sanawarian Society (OSS), filled the campus with color and energy, while the hobby exhibitions put on by the students were well-received by the parents and alumni who attended. They commended the creativity, innovation, and talent displayed across a variety of disciplines. Principal Himmat Singh Dhillon said, “As we celebrate Sanawar’s 178th anniversary, our focus is on preparing students to lead with empathy and courage.
Foundation Day serves as a bridge between our glorious history and a future shaped by inspired young minds. Seeing our alumni and students celebrate together is a reminder of the school’s enduring strength and shared pride.” Additionally, the Annual General Meeting of the Old Sanawarian Society (OSS) was held. The meeting, attended by members of the Governing Council, deliberated on various initiatives for the welfare, networking, and development of Old Sanwarians from across the world, reaffirming their continued commitment to the school’s growth and legacy. As the evening progressed, the campus came alive with the much-awaited school concert, in which students showcased their artistic talents through captivating performances of music, dance, and drama, enthralling the audience. The grand finale of the evening was the spectacular Light and Sound Show – a marvel of precision, rhythm, and light.
