Jalandhar: Two arrested with 240 narcotic pills

Jalandhar: District police arrested two persons and seized 240 narcotic tablets in two separate operations. In the first case, Ibrahim, a resident of Rohti Khas village, Patiala was arrested near Goindwal bridge after 60 tablets were found in his Maruti Zen car.
In a separate incident, ASI Sukhchain Singh and his team arrested Kashmir Singh alias Seera from Subhanpur and recovered 180 tablets from him. Both the accused have been booked under sections 22, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act. Police have taken them into custody and further investigation is underway.
