Punjab: Australian man dupes two brothers of Rs 32 lakh

Punjab: A person living in Australia allegedly duped a man and his brother of Rs 32 lakh on the pretext of sponsoring their case to send them to Australia. Police have registered a case in this regard against Ravinder Sharma (now living in Australia), a native of Bhootal Kalan village and Satpal, also a resident of Bhootal Kalan village, at City Police Station Sangrur under Sections 420, 406, 506 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code and Section 13 of the Punjab Travel Professionals (Regulation Act). The complaint was lodged with the police by Rohit Jamwal, a resident of Kotpalhari village in Nurpur Tehsil (Kangra district) of Himachal Pradesh. In his complaint, he has alleged that Ravinder Sharma duped him of Rs 31,53,655 on the pretext of sponsoring his case.
