Odisha: 7 people in critical condition after van overturns in Koraput In a major accident, seven people were seriously injured when a pick-up van overturned at Boipariguda in Odisha’s Koraput district.

The identities of the victims have not been revealed yet but preliminary investigations revealed that they all belonged to Bihar. They were engaged in pipeline construction work for a mega hydropower project.

According to reports, the van carrying the labourers overturned after a wheel came off while moving. The driver lost control, causing the van to overturn.

The victims trapped in the van, including the driver, were later rescued and rushed to a hospital in a critical condition. They are undergoing treatment.

On receiving information, police reached the spot and started investigation. A case has been registered. Further details are awaited.
