Airtel Rs 195 plan benefits reduced, know details about the updated plan
It seems that Airtel is currently updating some of its prepaid plans offered in India. The telecom service provider has recently removed its Rs 249 plan and the Rs 299 plan replaced it as the most affordable plan that offers high-speed data and unlimited calls. Airtel Rs 195 plan received a trim when it comes to its benefits.
Airtel Rs 195 plan now comes with 12GB of data and offers subscription to JioHotstar Mobile for a period of 90 days. This makes the plan costly for the users. In case you are not aware, the above mentioned plan used to offer 15GB of data earlier. It seems that Airtel is planning to increase its Average Revenue Per User (ARPU). The telecom service provider had an ARPU of Rs 250 at Q1 FY26 end.
Airtel discontinues Rs 249 Prepaid Plan
The Rs 249 Prepaid Plan from Airtel was discontinued from Airtel’s prepaid plan. The plan had a validity of 24 days. Benefits that were included in the plan were 1GB of data per day, 100 SMS per day, unlimited local, STD, and roaming calls. The plan came bundled with free spam protection. Currently, the cheapest truly unlimited plan from Airtel is Rs 299 plan.
Rs 299 Prepaid Plan comes with 1GB/ day and 28 days of validity. The plan offers unlimited local, STD and roaming benefits. SMS benefit offered in the plan is 100 SMS/ day. Additional benefits in the plan are spam protection, free hellotunes and Perplexity Pro AI.
