Punjab: Man arrested for raping minor daughter

Punjab: Muktsar (city) police have arrested a man for allegedly raping his minor daughter for nearly a month. The accused is a daily wage labourer and his wife works in the night shift at a private factory. In her statement to the police, the victim alleged, “In the evening when my mother and aunt leave for work, my father returns home and drinks alcohol. After my mother and aunt leave for work, he has been raping me for nearly a month. He threatened me that he would kill me if I told anyone. He used to sexually abuse me every day.” A case has been registered.
