Tamil Nadu : Which subjects’ students need laptops

Tamil Nadu : The details of which subject students will be given laptops are given in the tender report. In this, the Tamil Nadu government has announced that laptops will be given to 20 lakh college students. A high-level committee has been formed to implement this project, while the Tamil Nadu government has taken steps to purchase laptops. Category 5 students: Tamil Nadu government laptops will be given to students studying in professional subjects of arts, science, engineering, medicine and agriculture. The laptops will come with a one-year warranty and 3 years of service support. The tender document states that service centers for laptops should be set up in all 38 districts. The laptops should have the correct serial number and spare parts. Details like what can and cannot be done while using it should be in Tamil and English. The laptops should be prepared and supplied through the Elcat company as per the time given by the Higher Education Department. Apart from this, the first phase of the review meeting to select eligible companies to purchase laptops will be held on May 28, and the second meeting will be held on June 6.

It has been announced that the last date for submitting tenders electronically is June 25.
