Bhool Chuk Maaf advance booking: Movie registers good numbers on day 1
Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi’s rom-com ‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’ has arrived in theatres. It has clashed with other two releases Kapkapii and Kesari Veer. The movie has seen an impressive growth in advance booking in the last 24 hours. The movie has witnessed surge of 137% in ticket sales worth 88 lakhs.
Amidst the turmoil of Maddock films and PVRINOX, the film was finally decided to release on May 23. The movie was set for an OTT premier instead of theatrical release due to military conflict between India and Pakistan. The multiplex chain associated sued the production house for breaching the contract, as it led them a loss of Rs 60 crore. After the legal row got settled, the movie was all set to release on May 23, 2025.
According to the reports, the film saw more than 49k tickets selling across the nation in the advance sales. Delhi saw ticket sales worth Rs 22 lakhs. Followed by Bengaluru Rs 9 lakhs and Mumbai Rs 6.80 lakhs.
The film is directed by Karan Sharma with main roles including Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi. The story revolves around a small- town romantic boy from Banaras, who finally gets a government job to marry his love Titli (Wamiqa Gabbi). But, forgets his promise to Lord Shiva. The boy is now trapped until he fulfils his promise to Lord. This hilarious tale of love and fate will surely fill your heart with joy.
