Yercaud Summer Festival: Ministers inaugurated
Tamil Nadu : Yercaud Summer Festival will be inaugurated by Ministers M.R.K. Panneerselvam, R.S. Rajakannappan and R. Rajendran on Friday at 4 pm.
District Collector R. Brindha Devi issued a press release on Thursday stating that the 48th Summer Festival and Malak Exhibition will be held for 7 days from 23rd to 29th in Yercaud. Ministers M.R.K. Panneerselvam, R.S. Rajakannappan and R. Rajendran will inaugurate it on the 23rd at 4 pm and provide government welfare scheme assistance to the beneficiaries.
The Horticulture Department has set up a flower exhibition, fruit exhibition and vegetable exhibition with 1.50 lakh flowers at Anna Park to attract tourists during the summer festival.
Besides, a healthy children’s competition, a traditional food competition, a kolapotti and a boat race are also being organised. It has been reported that there will be artistic performances as well as sporting competitions including dog shows, youth football and cricket.
