Chief Minister Sai participated in the Prana Pratishtha program of Lord Jagannath Temple

Jashpur. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and his wife Kaushalya Sai on Wednesday participated in the Prana Pratishtha program after the renovation of the ancient Sri Jagannath temple of village Dokra of Kansabel development block. They prayed to Lord Jagannath and wished for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the state. The Chief Minister performed the Bhoomi Pujan of Mahtari Sadan to be built at a cost of 24 lakh 74 thousand in Dokra. The Chief Minister thanked the members of Sri Jagannath Temple Committee of Dokra and praised their work. The villagers are participating enthusiastically in the religious activities.
It is noteworthy that the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath is being taken out in Dokra since 1942. The Rath Yatra was started by Pandit Late Sudarshan Satpathy of Dokra village and his wife Sushila Satpathy. The temple was built in 1968. Due to the dilapidated condition of the temple, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and his wife Kaushalya Sai had pledged last year that they would renovate the temple and build a newly constructed building for the Lord Jagannath Temple, and the Chief Minister’s resolve has been fulfilled, he also thanked the villagers for their cooperation.
A huge Meena Bazar will also be organized every day from 21st May, during which, many religious programs are being organized from 21st to 27th May. As per the organized religious program, a Kalash Yatra was taken out from Maini Nadi Bagiya to the temple premises on 21st May. On May 22, from 7 am, Surya Pujan, Gau Pujan, temple entry, Parsva Vigrah, Netra Unijan, on May 23, from 7 am, Surya Pujan, Mandala Pujan, Shikhar Kalash and Neelchakra Sthapana, Parsva Vigrah Mahasnan, on May 24, from 7 am, Surya Pujan, Mandala Pujan, Yajna Havan, on May 25, temple entry of Shri Jagannath Swami Ji, Balabhadra Ji, Subhadra Ji and evening grand Kalash Yatra Adhivas and on May 27, at 8 am, Poornahuti, Dadhibhanjan and city tour in which Odisha bhajans will be presented by Odisha’s Kirtan Mandali. After this, Mahaprasad will be distributed and the event will conclude.
