CM laid the foundation stone for infrastructure facilities worth Rs 207 crore in colleges

Tamil Nadu : Chief Minister M.K. Stalin laid the foundation stone for infrastructure to be set up at colleges in Tamil Nadu at a cost of Rs 207 crore.

The event was held at Queen Mary College in Chennai on Tuesday. He also inaugurated new facilities constructed for colleges in various parts of the state.

The Chief Minister inaugurated and inspected the newly constructed hostel at Queen Mary College. Later he interacted with the students studying there.

Similarly, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated additional infrastructure at Karaikudi Alagappa Government Polytechnic College, Engineering College, Krishnagiri, Cuddalore, Polytechnic College in Thoothukudi, Thanjavur Government Engineering College and Marina Campus of Chennai University through video conferencing.

Also, additional classrooms and laboratory buildings have been constructed in Government Arts and Science Colleges at Perambalur, Veppur, Pudukkottai District, Perunavalur, Sivaganga, Arakkonam, Vellore District

Gudiyatham and Surandai in Tenkasi district. These were also inaugurated by the Chief Minister.

Laying of foundation stone of buildings: The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for new buildings to be constructed at a cost of Rs 207.82 crore in government arts and science colleges in Chennai, Erode, Coimbatore, Madurai, Krishnagiri, Nilgiris, Salem, Sivaganga, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Cuddalore, Vellore, Villupuram, Tirupattur and Dharmapuri districts.

Ministers Su.Muthusamy, Govi.Sezhiyan, MPs Tamilachi Thangapandian, P.Wilson, Higher Education Secretary C.Samayamoorthy, College Education Commissioner A.Sundaravalli, Technical Education Commissioner J.Innocent Divya, Queen Mary College Principal P.Uma Maheshwari and many others attended the event.
