Raipur: 15 lakh looters arrested, main conspirator turns out to be an acquaintance of the victim

Raipur. Those who looted 15 lakhs in Samata Colony have been arrested. According to the police, Mahavir Sharma had lodged a report in Azad Chowk police station that he is originally a resident of village Udrasar district Bikaner Rajasthan and has been living on rent in Chandrabhushan Bagadia’s house behind Samata Colony Kedar Hospital for 4 years and does wholesale marketing of electric goods. On 30.04.2025, the applicant was returning home from MG Road in his Activa vehicle with a bag full of lakhs of rupees, when at around 07.45 pm he reached the lane behind Samata Colony Kedar Hospital, during which three persons came behind the applicant and pushed him down and hit him on the head with a brick and snatched the bag full of lakhs of rupees kept with him and fled after looting it. On which a crime number 111/25 section 309(4) BNS was registered against unknown accused in Azad Chowk police station.

On which, under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti Crime and Cyber ​​Unit and Azad Chowk Police Station inspected the crime scene and started investigating the unknown accused by conducting detailed inquiries with the applicant and the people around the incident. The team members also observed the footage of CCTV cameras of the crime scene and its surroundings.

The team members started collecting information about the outside gang on the basis of the modus operandi and were also investigating the suspicious persons by using informers in the case. On the basis of technical analysis, finally success was achieved in identifying 01 accused involved in the case and the accused was located in Sridungargarh, Rajasthan. On which the team members were sent to Rajasthan. The team members reached Sridungargarh (Rajasthan) and camped there and caught the accused involved in the case, Rakesh Bhargava alias Kalu. While interrogating the accused Rakesh Bhargav alias Kalu in connection with the incident, the accused told that he had carried out the said incident along with his other companions Gunanand Prajapati and Ramlal. He also told that he was hired by a person named Yogesh, resident of Sridungargarh, Rajasthan to carry out the incident and a person named Bhavani Shankar, resident of Raipur had asked Yogesh to send persons to carry out the said robbery. On the basis of the evidence obtained, the team members traced and arrested Bhavani Shankar, resident of Raipur.
