China lifts import ban on five Brazilian soy producers

World World: China, the world’s largest soy buyer, has lifted a ban on imports from five Brazilian companies that were previously suspended for phytosanitary (health) reasons. The Brazilian government confirmed on Thursday that China has resumed imports from these companies.
Brazil, the world’s largest soy producer and exporter, is its main supplier to China. The decision was taken after a technical agreement between the health authorities of the two countries. The resumption of soy imports began on April 25.
