Volvo Cars April sales decline 11%

World World: Automobile company Volvo Cars’ global sales declined by 11% in April. The company said that a total of 58,881 vehicles were sold during this period. Especially the sales of fully electric vehicles fell sharply by 32%, due to which this segment is now limited to only 20% of the sales.

Sales of total electrified cars, including hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles, also declined by 16%, which now accounts for 45% of the total sales.

The company is under pressure due to the new tariff imposed by US President Donald Trump. Due to this, Volvo is working on a strategy to reduce costs along with its Chinese parent company Geely, as well as trying to maintain the hold of its petrol and hybrid models in the US market.
