Honoring Kotwars, brilliant students, Swachhta Didi and police friends
Raigarh. Under the direction of Divyang Kumar Patel, extensive meetings were organized today in all the police stations of the district regarding village security and crime control. In these meetings, the station in-charges not only honored the village Kotwars, social workers, brilliant students, Swachhata Didi and police friends for their commendable work, but also inspired them to create awareness by making them a part of the responsibilities of law and order.
In these meetings held at the police stations, the police officers again informed the Kotwars about their duties and clarified that it is mandatory to give information to the police station about suspicious persons who have come from outside and settled illegally in the villages. It was said to keep a constant watch on travelers, hawkers, people coming from other states and herbal sellers. The officials urged the Kotwars to immediately inform the police about any kind of incident, dispute or accident in the village and, while being active in the WhatsApp group, along with the beat police, alert the villagers about crime.
In the second phase of the program, the police honored the citizens who are doing inspirational work in their field of work. These included the village Kotwar who helped in maintaining law and order, members who made excellent contributions in the field of education and medicine, Swachhata Didi, ‘Haathi Mitra’ who contributed to wildlife conservation and Good Samaritans who became an example of humanity. All were honored with a certificate, coconut and a memento.
On this occasion, the police officers interacted with the citizens and shared with them the numbers of Dial 112, Control Room and senior officers and requested them to make the public welfare schemes of the police more strong by giving suggestions. This event of the police is being considered a step to give a new direction to the active participation of the general public in crime control, which will further strengthen the feeling of security, cooperation and awareness in the society.
