Youth stabbed to death in Odisha’s Sambalpur

Sambalpur: A youth was allegedly stabbed to death in Sambalpur of Odisha on Saturday. The incident reportedly took place in a field situated in front of the ATMA office on the Firm road under Town Police Station limits in Sambalpur city.

The deceased youth has been identified as Uttam Bhoi of Farm road area.

As per reports, at around 8.30 pm today, while some youths were sitting and talking in the ground in front of ATMA office, another youth named Kanha came to the said grounds.

Within some time a verbal spat erupted betweenUttam and Kanha. It soon an ugly turn and Kanha allegedly stabbed Uttam in the neck with a knife. As a result, Uttam fell down and died.

Other friends immediately took him to the hospital. However, the doctor declared him dead.

Meanwhile, the police have detained Kanha for further questioning and the town police have registered a murder case in this regard.
