Bhubaneswar: Minor boy kidnapped by home tutor, rescued after 7 hours; 7 kidnappers arrested
Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a minor boy was kidnapped by his home tutor whit the help of his accomplices in Airfield area of the State Capital City on Tuesday.
One Arta Ranjan Kalia of Panchagaon reported at Airfield PS in writing that, today at 7 AM, his minor son went to the school. At about 10.30 AM, his wife received a call from an unknown number. The caller informed her regarding kidnapping of his son by them. The kidnapper demanded ransom to release his son or else they will kill. The caller also instructed the parents to not inform the police about the kidnapping.
After receiving the information, police immediately formed four teams to rescue the victim boy without waiting for the formal report.
Within six hours of the incident, Commissionerate Police rescued the child and apprehended 7 involved persons in this case. The arrested persons have been identified as Basuni @ Subhrakant Mohapatra, (22) S/o- Dushasan Mohapatra, at-Panchagaon, Dist-Khurda, Somu @ Somnath Das (21), S/o Susant Das Village – Hansara, Ps –Ranpur, Bicky@ Chinmaya Kumar Nayak (22),S/o Rabindra kumar Nayak, At/po- Kashipur, Ps –Nirakarpur, Sandip Routray @ Rocky (22), S/o Bamadev Routray, At Ichhapur, PS Jankia, Dist – Khurda., Sagar Nayak (21), S/o – Sudarshan Nayak, At – Narana Garh, PS – Jankia, Dist – Khurda, Sujata Jena, (19), W/O- Chinamya Jena of Kasipur, Nirakarapur, Khorda and Nibedita Das (20), W/O- Jatia @ Somantha Das of Baghamari, Ranapur, Nayagarh.
So far, it is established that Subhrakant Mohapatra, is the resident of the same village of complainant and is very close to the complainant’s family. Recently the complainant received a handsome amount of money after selling a patch of land. To get the money, Subhrakant Mohapatra orchestrated the plan with the above noted involved persons. As per plan, they executed the kidnapping for ransom. The used vehicle Hyundai Centro Car bearing regd no OR-Q-6066 has been seized and the child has been rescued unhurt and unharmed.
The teams did raids under Airfiled PS (Bhubaneswar), Nirakarpur PS (District-Khorda) and Ranpur PS (District-Nayagarh) to apprehend the aforementioned persons and to rescue the kidnapped child.
The kidnapped victim boy was rescued from the rented house of Somnath Das and Chinmay Kumar Nayak at Nirakarpur, Khurda.
Police also seized One R15 Motor cycle bearing no.OD-02-CD-0994, One Black color Hyundai Centro Car bearing regd no.OR-Q-6066, 8 Mobile Phones and One used SIM Card.
