Punjab: Registration mandatory for pet shops and dog breeders

Punjab: The Punjab government has made registration of pet shops and dog breeders engaged in the sale, purchase and breeding of pet animals and birds compulsory in the state. Violators face a fine of up to Rs 50,000 and/or imprisonment of up to three months.
