Commissionerate Police issues traffic advisory as Congress to gherao Odisha Assembly tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police today issued a traffic advisory in view of the scheduled demonstration by the Odisha unit of Congress tomorrow.
As announced by the Congress, the party will gherao the Odisha Assembly tomorrow to press its demand for formation of a House Committee to address crime against women in the State. The grand old party is also all set to protest against the suspension of the pary MLAs from the State Assembly for seven days.
As thousands of party workers along with their leaders are expected to take part in the demonstration and gherao the State assembly tomorrow, the Commissionerate Police has issued a traffic advisory for the people and sought their co-operation for safe and hassle-free travel.
In light of the upcoming Political demonstration around OLA (Odisha Legislative Assembly) on March 27, significant traffic congestion is anticipated from 9 AM to 3 PM in and around the city area of Bhubaneswar, particularly on the route from Raj Mahal Square to Rupali Square and vice versa, the Commissionerate Police said.
The city police also advised the public to avoid this route, particularly on the route from Raj Mahal Square to Rupali Square and vice versa, or plan their journey accordingly to ensure a smoother commute and to minimize travel disruptions.
