Phulbani: Man kills son and pretends to kill self, detained
Phulbani: In a ghastly incident, a man allegedly killed his son in Kendupadar street of Phulbani district. The incident happened on Wednesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Abhijit and his father was identified as Pramod Bagarti. They duo were having a dispute and engaged in a fight at several occasions.
According to reports, police have detained the man. The man portrayed as if he tried to kill self after killing his son. The police suspected foul play and detained the man to conduct an enquiry.
The deceased’s mother had earlier lodged a complaint with the police over the man beating his son. The man was let out by the police by assuring that such incidents will not happen in the future.
The man on Wednesday killed his son and pretended of killing himself out of guilt. However, he was rescued. The police reached the spot and started an investigation.
