1 killed, 3 critical in group clash between two families in Bhadrak district

Bhadrak: At least one person was killed while three others were critically injured following a group clash between two families in Odisha’s Bhadrak district on Wednesday.
The group clash reportedly due to a land dispute erupted between the families of one Abani Nayak and Amulya Nayak of Chhatrapada village under the Pirahat Police station limits of the district today. Both the families attacked each other physically, informed the sources.
While Abani died on the spot allegedly after being attacked by Amulya’s family, three members of Amulya’s family were critically injured following the group fight due to land dispute, added the sources.
Meanwhile, Abani’s wife Sarojini filed a police complaint at the Pirahat Police station alleging that Amulya’s family members killed her husband following a land dispute.
Soon, a team of cops along with a scientific team reached the village after getting information about the group clash between the two families and started an investigation into the crime. They sent Abani’s body to the hospital for post-mortem and rushed the injured persons to the hospital for treatment.
The Police team is also interrogating some people of the village including the members of both the families to get some lead in the case.
