Samsung has suspended 23 workers so far

CHENNAI: The number of Samsung India Workers’ Union (SIWU) members who have received suspension orders from the company management has gone up to 23 as of Saturday, according to CITU sources.
Workers that TNIE spoke to said that the management, in its suspension letter, has stated that they are not permitted to enter the manufacturing plant in Sriperumbudur unless specific instructions are received from authorities to do otherwise.
The reasons for suspension stated in the letter included insubordination, disruption to production and refusal to take orders, among other charges. The letter also stated that the complaint letter and charge sheet would follow by mail.
