Tiwari elected president, Avadhiya and Devangan elected vice president in WHAI elections
Bhilai. The triennial election of the office bearers of Youth Hostels Association of India (YHAI) Bhilai unit was recently completed unopposed. In the election process held at Indian Coffee House Sector 10, Rishi Kant Tiwari was elected as President, Sudhir Avadhiya as Vice President and Mahendra Devangan as Treasurer. K. Subramaniam was elected as Chairman and Hemlal Devangan as Treasurer. Only one application was received for each post. Their tenure will be for three years from 2025 to 2028.
The newly elected office bearers unanimously nominated Subodh Devangan for the post of Secretary. Pankaj Mehta for the post of APC, Suman Mandve for the post of CPC, P.K. Singh for the post of EPC, Deepak Kumar Diman for the post of ITC. Mohanlal Sahu from Youth Hostels Korba unit as Election Officer, Bhilai unit senior member P.K. as Observer. Singh and Shravani Sengupta and Shilpi Sarkar were present in the investigation committee. On this occasion, founder member of Bhilai unit S. Suresh Rao and senior member P.K. Singh were specially honored for their overall contribution keeping in mind their dedication, involvement and activism towards youth hostels.
In the triennial election of office bearers cum family reunion ceremony, senior members of the organization and famous thinkers, philosopher and critic Jaiprakash Sao, Bharti Sao, Shweta Tiwari, Omkumari Devangan, Anshul Devangan, K. Sindhu, K. Stuti, Rahul Jangde, Priya Jangde, Bhumika Devangan, Leena Devangan, Aakanksha Devangan, Devansh Mandve, Savita Singh, Renuka Sahu, B. Sameer, Pushpalata Verma, Mrinal Pillai Colonel (Retd.) Harisharanjit Kaur, Rashmi Mehta, Kalpana Avadhiya, Neetu Verma and other members had commendable participation. The program was conducted by Subodh Devangan and the vote of thanks was given by Rishi Kant Tiwari.
