UP’s brutes gangraped a woman in CG, victim’s husband was not at home
Surajpur. A case of gangrape of a woman has come to light in Vishrampur area. This incident happened on Wednesday night, when the victim’s husband was out of the house for work. During this time, 4-5 people from the village entered the house and committed the crime. On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case and arrested five accused. All the accused came from Uttar Pradesh and were working as laborers living in a colony near the railway station.
According to the information, the 35-year-old victim was living with her husband in a rented house for three years and was making a living by doing hard labor. At the time of the incident, her husband had gone to his village in Korea district four days ago for domestic work. The victim told that on Wednesday night at around 8:30, two persons named Mohammad Ghulam Qadir and Afsar Ali alias Thuthuwa reached her house and started enquiring about her husband.
Around midnight, when the victim was sitting outside the house and chewing Gudakhu, Qadir and Thuthuva reached there with three other companions and forcibly pushed her inside the house. After this, all five accused together raped her. The victim informed her sister about this incident, after which the matter reached the police. On the complaint of the victim, the police registered a case against the five accused under sections 70 (1) and 331 (8) of the Indian Penal Code and arrested them.
Police led by Vishrampur police station in-charge Alrik Lakra detained Gulam Qadir and Thuthuva. During interrogation, they confessed to gang-raping the woman along with their three other companions. The police showed promptness and arrested the five accused Gulam Qadir (40), Afsar Ali alias Thuthuva (34), Mohammad Islam (55), Azad Lalan (25) and Mohammad Ramzan (50). All these accused are originally from Uttar Pradesh and were earning their livelihood by working as labourers in Vishrampur. After being produced in the court, all the accused have been sent to jail.
