Raipur: Liquor seized from electric scooter, youth arrested

Raipur. Liquor has been seized from an electric scooter and a youth has been arrested in this case. On information from a police informer at the Mandir Hasaud police station, near the incident site in village Jai Mata Di Hotel, Mandir Hasaud, the accused Khilendra Sahu, father Khemlal Sahu, age 21 years, resident Deori Sahu Para, police station Arang, district Raipur, was arrested for illegally transporting liquor in an electronic scooter number CG 04 MN 5397 for selling it. A total of 62 quarters of country liquor masala Romeo liquor, quantity 11.160 bulk litres, worth Rs. 6820 and electronic scooter number CG 04 MN 5397, worth Rs. 70,000, worth Rs. 76820, were recovered and seized from a white colour plastic bag kept in the accused’s possession. The accused was arrested as he was found to be a part of Crime No. 56/2025 Bara 34 (2) of the Excise Act and as the case was non-bailable, he was sent to the Hon’ble Court in judicial custody.
