Himachal: Prime Minister directed to submit report for Excellence Award

Himachal Pradesh: In view of the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration 2024, Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap has directed all departments to submit a detailed report of their best initiatives and works in the meeting to be held on February 7. The award aims to recognize the outstanding and exemplary work done by civil servants across the country. Chairing a special meeting held here today, he said the decision on which department will apply for the award will depend on the reports submitted by the departments. The DC said registration for the Prime Minister’s Excellence Award 2024 is now open on the online portal.

He said all heads of departments have been directed to submit applications related to projects run by their departments under specified categories. “Online registration can be done on the official portal https://pmawards.gov.in/, where applications will be invited for nominated projects as per the prescribed categories. The last date for submission of applications is February 14,” he said. “The awards will be conferred in three categories. In the first category, five districts will be awarded for holistic development under 11 priority programmes. In the second category, five aspiring blocks will be recognised and in the third category, six central ministries, departments, states and districts will be rewarded for innovation. “Each category will get a trophy, a scroll and a cash incentive of Rs 20 lakh,” he said.
