Bear climbs on tree to relish honey in Boudh district

Boudh: Wild animals usually instil fear in the minds of people. This rather unusual sight of a bear climbing atop a tree to relish honey from honeycomb is an amusing one.

The bear had climbed a tree in Putana jungle at Lumurjena village of Gochapada Gram Panchayat in Manmunda range under Boudh district. The villagers in the morning observed the bear atop the tree.

The locals then informed the forest department who then rushed to the spot and rescued the bear.
