Hero MotoCorp registers more than 12K unit sales in 350-500cc segment in April-December 2024

Hero MotoCorp has managed to improve sale of 350-500cc segment motorcycles in India for the period of April-December 2024. The company has managed to sell a total of 12,188 units of Harley-Davidson X440 and Hero Mavrick 440 between April-December 2024, mentioned Autocar India in its report. This roughly means that Hero MotoCorp occupies 13 percent of this segment.

According to the reports, the Hero MotoCorp managed to sell only 6682 units of Harley-Davidson X440. It launched in July 2023. On the other hand, the Mavrick 440, which is based on the Harley-Davidson X440 launched in February 2024.

In the first nine months of FY2025, Hero managed to sell 8974 units of Harley X440 and 3214 units of Mavrick 440s. While X440 and Mavrick 440 are similar in a lot of ways, there is a difference in terms of pricing. The Harley X440 is the costlier one among the both. The X440 is offered between Rs 2.40 lakh to Rs 2.80 lakh. The three variants are Denim, Vivid and S.

On the other hand, the Mavrick 440 is priced between Rs 1.99 lakh to Rs 2.24 lakh. It is offered in Base, Mid and Top variants.

According to the SIAM data, two wheeler manufacturers in India have sold 92,881 units of 350cc to 500cc motorcycles and this is a hike of 36 percent. The top selling companies in the segment are Bajaj Auto and Triumph. Bajaj Auto has managed to sell 47,766 units during this period and this is 51 percent of the market share. On the other hand, Royal Enfield has manged to sell 29,519 units of two-wheelers during this period.
