Mumbai: The Telugu version of the film ‘The Sabarmati Report’, based on true events, has suddenly come on OTT. Till now available only in Hindi, this film is now streaming in Telugu as well. It stars Vikrant Massey, Riti Digra and Rashi Khanna in lead roles. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the film is directed by Dheeraj Sharma. The film was released on November 15 last year. Now it has been released on OTT.
The Hindi version of ‘The Sabarmati Report’ has been streaming on ZEE5 OTT since January 10. However, recently without any announcement, the film will stream in Telugu and Tamil languages from Friday. ZEE5 has also shared a poster in this regard. It is known that 59 people travelling in the S-6 bogie of the Sabarmati Express train stopped at Godhra railway station lost their lives when the train caught fire. This incident triggered communal riots in Gujarat. More than 1,000 people lost their lives. Most of them were Muslims. At that time Prime Minister Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. During the release of the film, the film unit promoted the fact that the secrets and truths hidden in history for 22 years were going to be revealed. The film ‘The Sabarmati Report’ was made based on that incident.
