Married man raped 6 year old girl, arrested
Durg. The accused who raped a 6-year-old innocent girl in the Utai police station area of the district has been arrested by the police from Maharashtra. The police have arrested the accused by identifying him from the CCTV footage through the Trinayan app to search for the accused.
Crime Branch DSP Hem Prakash Nayak said that on January 18, the applicant along with her family reached the Utai police station and lodged a complaint that an unknown accused had kidnapped and raped her 6-year-old daughter by luring her. She also told that he has absconded by threatening to kill her if she tells anyone about the incident. The police registered a case against the accused under rape and POCSO Act and was engaged in tracking down the accused. The police searched the CCTV footage from the spot to the Nevai police station area through the technical Trinayan app, in which a young man was identified.
Meanwhile, the police came to know that the accused was seen near Gondia railway station in Maharashtra. After which a police team was dispatched. The police team reached Gondia railway station and arrested the accused Amardas Khutel, resident of Dumardih and then reached Durg. The accused youth is married and has a child. The police arrested the accused and presented him before the court.
