Drunk man wielded knife, accused arrested
Raigarh. Jute Mill police today arrested absconding accused Deepak Sarthi (22 years) in a case of assault and sent him on judicial remand. Accused Deepak Sarthi is a resident of Saraibhaddar Ward No. 34, who injured a person by abusing and attacking him with a knife during a dispute in the locality on 01 November.
Reporter Pawan Anil (38 years) told that on the morning of 01 November, Deepak Sarthi was fighting with Mannu Soni in the locality under the influence of alcohol. The dispute was pacified and Deepak was pacified and dropped to his home. During this, Deepak threatened to kill him while abusing him and attacked him with a vegetable cutting knife from home. In this attack, Pawan suffered injuries on his hand, elbow and left rib. After the incident, Pawan Anil lodged a report in Jute Mill police station. A case was registered under Sections 296, 115(2), 351(2) BNS under Crime No. 454/2024.
After the medical examination, the police also added Section 118(1) BNS to the case. The accused Deepak Sarathi, who was absconding since the incident, was arrested by the police on the information of an informer. The accused was produced in the court today, from where he was sent on judicial remand. The Jute Mill police have made it clear that strict action against the criminals will continue.
