Satnami community is being oppressed, we will gherao CM House on February 20: Chandrashekhar Azad

Raipur: National President of Azad Samaj Party and MP from Nagina, UP, Chandrashekhar Azad reached Raipur Central Jail with his supporters on Wednesday. During this, he met the people lodged in Raipur Central Jail in the Balodabazar violence case.

While talking to the media during this, he said that he met the people arrested in the Satnami community’s agitation and violence in Baloda Bazar of Chhattisgarh in Raipur Central Jail today. Innocent Satnami community people have been brutally beaten. A pregnant woman was beaten and her child died in the womb itself. That woman lost everything.

He further said that this incident is completely politically motivated, such action has been taken only to implicate the Satnami community. The government wants to oppress the Satnamis, but the Satnami community will always raise its voice for its rights and entitlement. The pride of the Satnami community is important for us. At the behest of the government, the police administration suppressed the people of the Satnami community. This has caused anger among the people of the deprived community.

Azad further said that if the government and the Chief Minister want, they can withdraw this entire case and release the innocent people from jail. If this does not happen, then on 20 February, the entire Satnami community will surround the Chief Minister’s residence against this. After the investigation report comes, we will take this entire matter to the Supreme Court.

MP Chandrashekhar Azad further said that during the meetings inside the jail, he felt that the police had sent people to jail to hide their failure. The people imprisoned in the jail believe that they will get justice. Our demand is that the government should release the people of the Satnami community.
