Punjab: A man arrested for ‘sexually’ abusing a girl

Punjab: Khuian Sarwar police have arrested a man under sections 64(2), 78(1) and 351(3) of BNS. The victim said that Sonu Kamboj, resident of Dhani Sanjha Ram of Patti Billa village, offered her a lift while she was waiting for a bus. She said she accepted the offer and got into the car. On the way, Sonu took photos of her and raped her inside the car. He also threatened to make the photos viral. Police today produced Sonu in court, from where he was taken on four-day remand. Police said that the victim’s statement will be recorded in court soon under section 164 of CrPC.
